Now Delivering Hay to Virginia Farms

Virginia is the newest state on our delivery map, and we're glad to be here. If you're searching for hay near you in Virginia, HayNow lets you order online and get delivery next week. Our trucks carry their own forklifts, so your pallets land anywhere our forklift can safely reach (it needs good solid ground and an opening at least 102" wide and about 101" tall).

Where we deliver in Virginia

We deliver across Virginia. In Northern Virginia hunt country that means Loudoun County around Leesburg, Middleburg, Purcellville and Upperville, Fauquier County near Warrenton, Marshall and The Plains, and Clarke County near Berryville. We go down the Shenandoah Valley through Winchester, Front Royal, Harrisonburg, Staunton and Lexington. In central Virginia we cover Culpeper, Orange, Charlottesville and the Albemarle County area, plus Fredericksburg and the farms around Richmond in Hanover, Goochland and Powhatan counties. We also deliver near Lynchburg and Roanoke, and east to Hampton Roads, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Suffolk.

How ordering works

Pick your hay online, choose how many 18-bale pallets you need, and check out. We tell you your delivery week when you order. A couple of days before that week, you'll get your delivery day and a tracking link by email and text, the same as a UPS or FedEx package. You don't have to be home. Our driver drops the hay, takes a photo and sends it to you. Use the delivery notes to tell us where to put it.

Forklift delivery, no hand stacking

Every truck has an on-board forklift. The driver places each shrink-wrapped pallet in your ground-level storage area, like a barn aisle, run-in or equipment shed. We don't hand stack or bring hay elevators. Some Virginia farm lanes and gravel roads are tough for a tractor trailer. If ours can't reach you, we can meet you in your town and forklift your hay into your pickup or trailer, or drop it at a neighboring farm or business with room.

Our hay

We don't grow hay anymore. We buy hay from growers across the US and Canada, bring it to our farm in Earlville, NY, and press the big bales into small bales of about 43 pounds. Each pallet holds 18 bales and gets shrink-wrapped to keep it fresh and protected. Choose New York timothy-orchard grass (1st and 2nd cutting), Western timothy, Western straight orchard grass, Western steamed alfalfa, a timothy-orchard-alfalfa mix or our SmartHay balanced pallet. We carry wheat straw for bedding as well. Browse grass hay, alfalfa, hay mixes and SmartHay.

All of our hay is lab-tested

Every load of hay we sell is lab-tested. Virginia horse owners have plenty of choices, and we want you to know just what you're getting when you try us.
