Where we deliver in Maryland

We deliver throughout Maryland. North of Baltimore that includes Baltimore County horse country around Monkton, Sparks, Glyndon and Hunt Valley, plus Harford County near Bel Air, Street and Darlington, and Carroll County near Westminster, Hampstead and Sykesville. In central Maryland we cover Howard County near Ellicott City, Clarksville and Glenwood, Montgomery County near Poolesville, Potomac, Damascus and Olney, and Frederick County near Frederick, Middletown and Thurmont. Out west we go to Washington County around Hagerstown and Boonsboro. In southern Maryland we deliver in Anne Arundel County near Annapolis and Davidsonville, plus Prince George's, Calvert and Charles counties. On the Eastern Shore, we deliver near Chestertown, Easton, Centreville, Cambridge and Salisbury.

How ordering works

Pick your hay online, choose your number of 18-bale pallets, and check out. When you order, we tell you your delivery week. A couple of days before that week, you'll get your delivery day and a tracking link by email and text. You don't need to be home. Our driver drops the hay, snaps a photo and sends it to you. Add delivery notes if you want the pallets in a certain place.

Forklift delivery to your barn

Our trucks carry on-board forklifts. The driver places each pallet in your ground-level storage area, like a barn aisle, shed or run-in. We don't hand stack or bring elevators. If local road limits keep our tractor trailer from reaching your farm, we can meet you in your town and load your pickup or trailer, or drop at a neighboring farm or business that can fit the rig.

Our hay

We don't grow hay anymore. We buy hay from growers across the US and Canada, bring it to our farm in Earlville, NY, and press the large bales into small bales of about 43 pounds. Each pallet holds 18 bales and gets shrink-wrapped to keep it clean and dry. Our lineup includes New York timothy-orchard grass (1st and 2nd cutting), Western timothy, Western straight orchard grass, Western steamed alfalfa, a timothy-orchard-alfalfa mix and our SmartHay balanced pallet. All of our hay is lab-tested

Every load of hay we sell is lab-tested, so you know what you're feeding. That matters whether you're bringing along a young racehorse, running a lesson program or caring for a retired pony.

Do you deliver hay on the Eastern Shore?

Yes. We deliver to farms on Maryland's Eastern Shore, including towns near Chestertown, Easton, Cambridge and Salisbury.

Do you deliver near Baltimore and Frederick?

Yes. We deliver throughout central Maryland, including Baltimore, Harford, Carroll, Howard, Montgomery and Frederick counties.

Can I get a set delivery time?

We don't book appointments. You'll get your delivery week when you order, then your delivery day and a tracking link a couple of days before.

Will you hand stack the hay?

No. We place pallets at ground level with our forklift. We don't hand stack or bring hay elevators.
