How ordering works

Choose your hay online, pick how many 18-bale pallets you need, and check out. We tell you the week your delivery is coming. A couple of days before that week, you'll get your delivery day and a tracking link by text and email. You don't have to be there. Our driver drops the hay, takes a photo and sends it to you. Add a delivery note if you want it placed somewhere particular.

Forklift delivery to your barn

Every truck has an on-board forklift. The driver places each pallet in your ground-level storage area, like a barn aisle, run-in or garage bay. We don't hand stack or bring elevators. Some Connecticut back roads and driveways are tight, with stone walls and low trees. If our tractor trailer can't reach you, we can meet you in your town and forklift your hay into your pickup or trailer, or drop it at a neighboring farm or business with room.

Our hay

We don't grow hay anymore. We buy hay from growers around the US and Canada, bring it to our farm in Earlville, NY, and press large bales into small bales that weigh about 43 pounds. We stack 18 bales on each pallet and shrink-wrap it to keep it clean and dry. Choose New York timothy-orchard grass (1st or 2nd cutting), Western timothy, Western straight orchard grass, Western steamed alfalfa, a timothy-orchard-alfalfa mix or the SmartHay balanced pallet. We also have wheat straw for bedding. Browse grass hay, alfalfa, hay mixes and SmartHay.

All of our hay is lab-tested

Every load of hay we sell is lab-tested, so you know what you're feeding. If you'd like help picking a hay for your horses, goats or other animals, just ask.
