Hay Delivery in Rhode Island
Rhode Island may be small, but horse owners here still need good hay, and there aren't many places left to get it. HayNow lets you order hay online and get it delivered the next week, set in place by the forklift on our truck.
Where we deliver in Rhode Island
We deliver all over the Ocean State. In Washington County, or South County as most folks call it, we deliver near Exeter, Richmond, Hopkinton, Charlestown, South Kingstown and Westerly. In Kent County we cover Coventry, West Greenwich, East Greenwich and Warwick. In northern and western Providence County we go to Scituate, Foster, Glocester, Smithfield, North Smithfield, Burrillville and Lincoln, plus the farms around Providence and Cranston. Over in Newport County we deliver to Portsmouth, Middletown, Tiverton and Little Compton. Bristol County farms are on our list too.
How ordering works
Pick your hay online, choose your number of 18-bale pallets, and check out. We tell you your delivery week when you order. A couple of days before that week, you'll get your delivery day and a tracking link by email and text. No need to be home. The driver drops your hay, snaps a photo and sends it to you. If you want the pallets in a certain spot, put it in the delivery notes.
Forklift delivery, set in place
Our trucks carry their own forklifts. The driver sets each shrink-wrapped pallet in your ground-level storage area, such as a barn, run-in or shed. We don't hand stack or bring hay elevators. If our tractor trailer can't make it down your road, we can meet you in your town and forklift the hay into your pickup or trailer, or drop it at a neighboring farm or business that can fit our rig.
Our hay
We don't grow hay anymore. We buy hay from growers across the US and Canada, truck it to our farm in Earlville, NY, and press the big bales into small bales of about 43 pounds. Each pallet has 18 bales and gets shrink-wrapped to keep it fresh and protected. You can choose New York timothy-orchard grass (1st and 2nd cutting), Western timothy, Western straight orchard grass, Western steamed alfalfa, a timothy-orchard-alfalfa mix, or our SmartHay balanced pallet. We also sell wheat straw for bedding. Browse grass hay, alfalfa, hay mixes and SmartHay.
All of our hay is lab-tested
Every load of hay we sell is lab-tested. With salt air and damp weather near the coast, storing good dry hay matters, and our shrink-wrapped pallets help keep it that way after delivery.
